Grocery collection / donation
We are aware that many parents in our community collect Tesco points/vouchers as part of their weekly shopping. Also within our community are many families who are struggling financially during these unprecedented and difficult times.
During Lockdown 1 (from 23rd March 2020), we set up a grocery donation and collection point inside the front lobby. We asked those who could to use their Tesco Clubcard points to purchase non-perishable dry goods to share amongst other members of our community e.g. tinned food, cereal, pasta/rice and also cleaning products.
This initiative was supported by our WPFA to ensure that those who needed help were able to care for their families and stay safe. Key workers, vulnerable families and those struggling financially were welcome to use this collection point whenever and as many times as needed.
