Music

Music is the universal language of mankind – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

At Whitegrove we believe that music is a vital part of every child’s development. Every child should experience a range of high quality musical experiences. We aim to engage and inspire pupils to develop a love of music and nurture their talent as musicians. This will increase their self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement and thus enhance their overall development.

All children develop the skills of musical appreciation, singing and composing. We have thriving choirs for all ages and all children have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument. We take part in musical events where children can perform both with their peers and with the wider community. As a school we often join together to share musical learning and experiences.
